Communication Skills

Say what you mean. Hear what they mean. Connect the dots.

Communication isn't just about finding the right words.

It's about listening, understanding, asking questions, reading the situation and working out what someone is actually trying to say — even when they're not saying it very well.

This workshop explores what makes communication work, what gets in the way, and how we can communicate more clearly and effectively with the people around us.

Participants will explore:

  • active listening and really paying attention
  • asking better questions
  • expressing ideas, needs and opinions clearly
  • verbal and non-verbal communication
  • tone, assumptions and misunderstandings
  • how communication can break down
  • managing difficult conversations
  • how to disagree without making things personal
  • adapting communication for different people and situations

Through practical activities, discussion and real-life scenarios, participants will have the opportunity to practise communicating, listening and responding in ways that build understanding rather than conflict.

Because good communication isn't about winning the conversation.

It's about making sure everyone has a chance to be heard.

Flexible format

Communication Skills can be delivered as a standalone workshop or developed into a six-week course, depending on your needs.

Who is it for?

Schools, colleges, youth groups, community organisations and other groups looking to develop confident communicators, stronger relationships and more constructive conversations.

Because being a good communicator starts with being a good listener.
