Teen Life-Coaching
Coaching that starts with them.
Being a teenager can be complicated.
Add neurodivergence, changing expectations, friendships, school or college, family relationships, big emotions and the growing pressure to work out who you're supposed to be — and sometimes it can feel like there are simply too many things to navigate at once.
Teen Life Coaching provides a space where young people can talk, think, explore and work things out without judgement.
This isn't therapy, tutoring or a programme designed to tell a teenager what they should be doing.
It's a collaborative process that starts with where they are now and works towards where they want to go.
What can we work on?
Every young person is different, so there isn't a fixed programme.
Depending on what they want support with, coaching might explore:
- confidence and self-esteem
- understanding themselves and their neurodivergent brain
- friendships and relationships
- communication and boundaries
- emotions, overwhelm and resilience
- managing expectations and pressure
- motivation and getting unstuck
- organisation, planning and time management
- decision-making and problem-solving
- independence and preparing for adulthood
- navigating change and uncertainty
- identifying strengths, interests and future possibilities
Sometimes the starting point is simply:
“I don't know what's wrong. I just know something isn't working.”
That's okay too.
We can start there.
A space to think out loud
Teenagers don't always need another adult telling them what to do.
Sometimes they need someone who will listen properly, ask useful questions and give them the space to arrive at their own answers.
Coaching is conversational, practical and flexible. We might talk through a situation, challenge an assumption, experiment with a different approach, break a seemingly impossible problem into smaller pieces or simply make sense of what's going on.
The young person remains at the centre of the process.
No lectures. No judgement. No magic formula.
Just a genuine conversation and some useful thinking.
How it works
Teen Life Coaching is delivered online in 45-minute sessions, making it accessible to young people wherever they are in England.
Coaching is offered in blocks of six sessions, giving enough time to build a relationship, identify what matters and work on meaningful changes without creating pressure for instant results.
The first session provides an opportunity to get to know each other, understand what the young person would like from coaching and agree what we'd like to work towards.
The content then develops around their needs, interests and goals.
Parents and carers are welcome to share relevant information and concerns, but the coaching relationship belongs to the young person.
Who is it for?
Teen Life Coaching is for young people aged 11+ who would benefit from having a dedicated space to explore what's going on, develop practical strategies and build confidence in navigating life.
It can be particularly useful for neurodivergent young people who may have spent a lot of time being told what they need to improve, change or “work on” — and would benefit from an approach that starts instead with understanding who they are and what works for them.
About your coach
I'm Natasha, founder of Thinkers Guild.
I've spent years supporting neurodivergent young people and families, advocating, home educating and developing practical ways of making sense of the world when the usual approaches don't quite fit.
My approach is collaborative, curious and strengths-based.
I'm not interested in trying to make young people fit a particular mould.
I'm interested in helping them understand themselves, find their own strategies and become more confident in making their way through the world.

If you'd like to discuss whether Teen Life Coaching could be a good fit, get in touch.
There's no obligation to book — we can simply have a conversation about what you're looking for and whether I can help.
Because they don't need someone to fix them. They need someone willing to listen, think alongside them and help them find their way.
